We had such a fabulous time catching up with friends; including a visit to South London to Sidcup visiting Iain’s Aunt Mary, Uncle Andrew, Cousins Jenny and Robert with their partners; back again, only this time in a more intoxicated state, visiting Iain’s old friend Danny and his wonderful bride Leiana; popping into Treeny’s previous office in Islington to catch-up with old colleagues; a rendezvous with friends made on the Bolivian Salt Flats, Laura and Phil; then lunchtime beers with Iain’s pal Jansen. While Iain headed north to Leicester with old University of Portsmouth friends for a wild weekend of booze and football, Treeny played tourist with Mel, Chris and Cousin Danny, visiting St Paul’s cathedral, gorging on enormous bommy-knocker style beef ribs and a drunken pub crawl through Shoreditch... "We will show you how to dance hipsters!"
Two wonderful relaxing weeks later we were ready to jump aboard the plane to Jersey – finally Iain was on his way home. We had such a great time catching up with everyone; meeting old friends, reacquainting with family. Everyone was so hospitable, warm and generous, welcoming us into their homes, cooking for us, and sharing wonderful memories of our brief escapade around England. We can’t thank you all enough for having us and meeting with us! It was comforting knowing that even though this was a short visit we will be back, again and again and again!
Next stop we finally arrive in Iain’s homeland the beautiful island of Jersey…
