After dropping our bags at the hostel, into our cave like room, we strolled into the town centre in search of food. A recommendation from fellow traveler brought us to a small local eatery on the Plaza de Armas (Central Square). We feasted on potato soup, rice, beans, chicken, and an Inka Cola each, all of for the bargain price of 12 Peruvian Soles (AUS $4.60 or £2.80). Let’s just say we are really enjoying the cheap food here, even if it is always just rice, beans and chicken.
We are pretty convinced too, that there is an army of Peruvians that sweep the desert in the evenings, making sure the lines stay in perfect shape for unsuspecting tourists during the day. We are on to you Nasca!
